Well, your chances of catching a trophy Walleye (or "greenbacks" as locals call them) of a lifetime are better than average on the Red River or Winnipeg River (and Lake Winnipeg) during the Fall and winter seasons! How big are these Walleye ? Well to turn a head on either the Red River or Winnipeg River you'll need to hook up with a walleye of at least ten pounds! Walleye in the mid teens are caught every year by Cat Eye Outfitter. These walleye come down from the sprawling waters of lake Winnipeg to inhabit the Red River and Winnipeg River in the fall.
